Work well by Armour, 22 January 2017, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful The two items work well and are very easy to install. I got them to run with zwift on the PC, needed an Ant + receiver usb which and there you go, was up and running fine. The batteries are easy to replace and can be bought cheaply, though I have had them for a few months now and have not needed to replace so far. Also use these with the wahoo fitness app, and a wahoo rflkt, its my app of choice for monitoring the ride and can easily be uploaded to strava at the end. The speed monitoring is especially useful, as the gps logging is paused quicker if stopping for a junction/waiting etc. Only gripe is the price, im sure theres a big margin between what these cost to make and what they are selling for. Im also pretty sure I might have done better getting these as part of some other package including a hr monitor, but already owned the rflkt so just needed these extras. I would say it appears wahoo are capitalising by charging a premium if the whole bundle isnt bought in one go. Pros: work well lightweight Cons: cheaper to get a bundle including these anyway
Easy to set up, nice and clean install. by Juggmeister, 1 September 2017 Bought these to replace the old style wireless Cateye unit that I had been using with my Elemnt. These pair instantly once activated and fit to the bike with very little fuss. The speed sensor is pretty low profile on the hub but the cadence sensor is quite chunky when fitted in the mounting pod (I presume you could stick it to the crank without the pod but if might cause issues come battery changing time). I had to fit the sensor half way down the crank to clear the chain stay. Good news for haters of GPS speed/distance readings is that the speed sensor prompts a wheel size input so you can make it mega-accurate. Slightly high in price in my opinion but that’s the only real downside. I would have thought å£30 was more suitable for a price.
