Good but…. by Dhlex, 21 December 2016, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful Awesome rotor probably cheapest centre lock rotor and ice tech rotor around The rotor keeps it cool and can’t notice much of brake fade after long decents. But what the but Is that if your using either a 15mm/20mm axle upfront or thru axle at the rear the lock nut that secures the rotor on to the splines is tightend by using a cassette tool most cassette tools won’t fit on pass the axle adaptor unless your cassette tool is paper thin (found this out on a dt Swiss wheelset not sure about other brands) only fix was using a BB lock nut tyre nut to secure the rotor in place that used an external bottom bracket tool to tighten but after that smooth sailing Pros: value for money looks sweet runs cool Cons: lock not issue
Great rotors! by DJProFLow, 18 January 2017, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful I’ve used these for about 1.5 years now and my front rotor is still perfect. My rear rotor is used more and I had no rear pads for about 5 days of riding which scratched it up quite a bit and they’re just starting to fade out. They’re still true. The front and rear rotor are both 180mm. These came stock on my 2015 GHOST Kato Fs 7, and it had/has a Shimano XT m785 braking system (calipers, lever things, that stuff). For the rear pads I recommend Kool Stop Aero-Kool metallic Finned pads- they work great! And for the front Shimano XT resin pads. I don’t suggest SLX pads in the front. There is a huge difference even between worn out XT pads and broken in SLX pads (XT is better). I’ve scraped both the front and rear rotors on rocks on local trails, and believe me, the sound is horrible. But they still work fine! Pros: last 1.5+ years great braking tough Cons: none
