Appalling by Vanquisher, 27 March 2017, 20 out of 21 people found this review helpful I barely know where to start. I SO wish I had never bought these to replace my POC VPD which after 3 years were a bit worn and smelly ! I got exactly the right size using the measurements on Dainese website size chart before anyone says anything. In fact, I am slightly over a medium, so went with medium thinking they would be a touch tight, which is always better When you first get them and put them on at home, you think yeah, good fit, looks promising. So you take the labels off and decide to keep them. No Return possible now – BIG MISTAKE ! After 5 mins of riding, I noticed they had come down. With all the armour and elbow guards I have had this has never happened to me before. So, pulled them up and fastened Velcro as tight as possible. 5 mins later slipped down again and all loose around my arm. In my opinion they are not elasticated enough to get a good grip on your arm before you even do the Velcro fasteners up. Second problem. There are 2 tiny little strips of silicon gel at each end of the guard which is supposed to grip your skin to stop them slipping. The strips are so thin and flat, the guard has no chance of staying in place or gripping Third problem. As they are barely elasticated, they do not flex and give with your arm movement. So even if you just have a little bit of a bicep, as your muscle contracts a bit the bulge of your muscle also helps push the guard down your arm. I hope I have managed to explain the issues clearly. It’s hard to describe this type of thing in words only. They clearly have not been tested whatsoever and are not fit for purpose. Just DO NOT get them under any circumstances. I have just totally wasted å£53.99 as these are beyond useless, so I will have to buy something else. Pros: none Cons: fall down baggy after wearing in heat rotate around elbow
I’ve had no problems by ChrisD77, 24 April 2017, 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful The elbow pads fit me well, I fact I hardly notice them when riding. They have not slipped down or rotated during wear. Pros: comfortable well ventilated
